As the decision was made last week by Gov. Ron DeSantis, people will have more access to restaurants and retail shops in Palm Beach County starting today.
Phase one of Florida’s reopening plan has begun in Boca Raton and includes the following:
Under the first phase, restaurants and retail shops across Florida can operate at 25 percent capacity. However, large venues like movie theaters must remain closed, and students must continue distance learning until further notice.
The governor also announced that barber shops, hair salons, and nails salons can reopen as well. The City of Boca Raton is excited for this phase, but will follow all CDC guidelines to make sure all precautions are taken to keep the city safe.
Something else to look forward to, Palm Beach County commissioners agreed to tentatively reopen beaches on Monday, May 18th to county residents only.
