Home Of The Free Because Of The Brave

This Memorial Day we honor the men and women veterans that have gone before us. Remembering their sacrifice and those that served for our freedom.

The pandemic might have canceled Memorial Day plans last year, but life is starting to return to normal for 2021 nationwide.

With this shift, parades are making a comeback this year so Americans can honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Here are some local events available on Memorial Day:

  • A west Boca tradition, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10556 will present the annual county Memorial Day program at 9:30 a.m. in Veterans Memorial Park, 9400 W. Palmetto Park Road.
  • The observance will also be livestreamed on the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pbcparks.
  • The city’s annual “All Gave Some…Some Gave All” ceremony will be pre-recorded and virtual from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday. “NJROTC has submitted footage for the presentation of colors and will have their Commanding Officer Evan Bycholski speak,” said Monika Amar, community events coordinator.

We honor one of Boca Raton’s locally owned veteran businesses K9 Gunner Tactical! Located in Royal Palm Place. Thank you Brady for you service!

Thank you to all our men and women who have served our country!
